Pet-Friendly Policy
The stay of pets at Ecorkhotel Évora is subject to compliance with the following rules:
- Only small pets (dogs or cats) of up to 10 kg are accepted (validated by vaccination report), a maximum of one animal per suite, with the owner.
- In the case of guide dogs, weight or size restrictions do not apply.
- Dogs of potentially dangerous breeds are not accepted (Dec-Law 315/2009).
- It is the customer's responsibility to inquire in advance about availability for booking, mentioning the breed and weight of the pet. In the absence of this prior request, the hotel reserves the right to refuse check-in.
- It is only allowed to assign a suite with a pet in the Premier typology.
- After confirming a prior reservation with a pet, the customer must go to reception without the animal to check-in, presenting the vaccination card and signing the pet policy document, accepting compliance with the established rules.
- The owner of the animal assumes compliance with Portuguese legislation such as having an up-to-date vaccine bulletin, having a microchip (mandatory for dogs born from July 1, 2008), registration and license and also ensuring that the animal is free of parasites and in good health.
- Pets are not allowed in the public areas of the main hotel building. In any other public area outside the hotel, the use of a leash or transport box is mandatory.
- The animal should never be left alone, without the company of the owner.
- Guests are responsible for cleaning their pet's waste around the entire outer perimeter of the hotel.
- The guest must arrange with the Reception team the schedule for the suite's daily rate, subject to availability. The pet must not be in the suite at the time of the cleaning and tidying service.
- The hotel will request the immediate departure of any animal that exhibits dangerous or unacceptable behavior (biting, scratching, excessive barking, apparent illness, urination or defecation in public areas), without any reduction in the value of the animal's (or owners') stay. for the days not elapsed.
- The owner or caretaker of the animal is responsible for all material and personal damage caused by the animal's action and agrees to assume the costs arising from any claims or losses relating to your pet in relation to the hotel, employees, guests or other customers.
- The stay of the animal has a fee of 25.00€, per night of stay, per animal, not including food.
